Grandpa & Rocky

On the 3rd Sunday of every month, I borrow my mom's car to take my grandpa to his lodge meeting. We usually have breakfast after or do a little shopping and then have lunch. I like to use these breakfast/lunches to ask my grandpa about his life. This time I found out that he worked in a steel factory and some of his work was used to build Dodger Stadium! I had no idea. My favorite talks are the ones about when he and my grandma fell in love. He thinks it's funny that I'm so curious.

I took my camera this time because I was wanted to take some photos of my grandfather's roses. And since I had my camera out, I said why don't I get some photos of you and Rocky. :) Being a grandpa, he couldn't say no. Plus I think he was proud to show off Rocky. He looks tough but he's a lovable goofball!

I am lucky that I have so much family living so close to me. I know that. My friend, A, is a Virginia Tech graduate student living on the other side of the country from her family. She's safe, thank goodness. But I'm sure right now, her family would love to be able to hold and see for themselves that she's okay.
