These are perfect! I'm with pattyb on the colors and the raindrops! Also I am in awe of the focus (since that's what I'm trying to perfect at the moment.) Nice to see it done right!!

Thanks :) I can't really take credit for the focus because I had the Coolpix set to macro mode and it picked the shutter speed and aperture. It does help that it has a 3" screen so I can check the focus before I take it. They were all taken at F4.2 with shutter speeds ranging from 1/100 sec to 1/320 sec.

Sweet...:) The shutter speed and the aperture can be indirectly influenced by setting the iso and white balance in manual mode. Also, mine has a pre-focus (upon half-pressing the shutter release the camera moves the lens) and multifocal points - these also help me in macro but take some time.

I agree with photopoet - very lush and sumptuous! I am a bit puzzled by your move from a D200 to a Coolpix - I am looking at updating to a D200.
