More roses that I took with the Coolpix. Individual roses this time, highlighting their great range of color. I tried them in b&w but it didn't work. It had to be color.

On yesterday's post, kangshung asked me why I went from the D200 to the Coolpix. But I didn't really. I still have my D200 and I won't be giving it up anytime soon. But I wanted a small camera to carry on my bike.

You see, the D200 (like my F90 before it) feels like an extension of me when I'm using it. The two times I feel whole are when I'm on my bike and when the D200 is in my hand. Then I'm me as I'm supposed to be. It might sound weird, but I don't want to risk breaking the D200 while I'm on my bike...lose one because of the other...

And I'm hoping the Coolpix will expand my horizons with how I see things. Make me shoot different. Ok, so these roses are how I would shoot them with the D200, but the Spike photos from a couple of days ago were a little bit of a stretch. I want to do more of that. :)
