Fields of Gold

2007.05.16

I went for a walk to the park on Saturday Morning. It was cool and a little overcast. Still no ducklings. But I really forced myself to look for opportunites along the way. Given that the park is two miles from my apartment, I should find something, right? So, I found these, not in fields, but in patches along the sidewalk. It was a good day.

Of course, I was thinking of this beautiful song when I did these. Um, warning - Sting uses some colorful languge at the end.:)

All were taken with the D200 & 70-300 VR lens, handheld @ ISO100

1 - F8 @ 1/250sec @ 300mm - Slight adjustments to brightness and contrast but otherwise, no processing. I added a border to it and a watermark.

2 - F9 @ 1/250sec @ 300mm - Orton effect applied to this one and then added a border and a watermark.

3 - F6.3 @ 1/160sec @ 300mm - Applied Orton effect again, simple black border and watermark.

What do you think of the watermark? Too much?

kangshung Wonderful photos - I particularly like the soft focus and colours of #3. As for the watermark, I think it's a good idea but maybe a bit wordy - how about just '© Lisa Gonzales'?
