Sword Dance

Part 2 of my Belly Dancers at the Renaissance Faire. This is the Sword Dance, a slow dance of honor. We were told that if we liked her dance, we should hiss because she was moving as slow and hypnotizing as a snake. There was a lot of hissing. :)

She didn't dance to this type of music, but it was this slow and sensuous. Plus, I like the main line "You're so pretty the way you are". It's what I've always like about belly dancing (yes, I've tried it). It celebrates a woman's curves just the way they are.

By the way, I shot the last two earlier in the day when I saw her practicing. I thought the difference in her expressions when praciticing were interesting. Notice she still has an audience. :)
