Part 7 of the Renaissance Faire series. These are at the stage where they were playing Scottish and Irish music and dance. The shows were pretty funny and had some great music. This stage was harder to shoot because of the sunlight and shadows and also the large audience seating. I wish I had been in a better place for the dancing. If only I could go back...

1-3 are of a Scottish "rock" band. At first, the guys played current rock songs on the bagpipes and it was pretty cool. But then they played the more traditional songs because as they said "if it's not Scottish, it's crap". :) Which they repeated many times and the audience shouted along with them (as well as dancing to their music).

awesome set. This whole series is fantastic. I can't wait for more, these photos really make me wish I was there, and itching for out local renaissance faire! thanks again for sharing, beautiful shots. I especially like the capture where the woman is jumping up in the air! great movement!

I love this set. Each photo is interesting. I think 9 and 10 are my favorites. She has beautiful red flowing hair and the stop motion is great!

five makes me think "pirates of penzance."

i'm mesmerized by the costumes and personalites. by the time and geographical periods conveyed.

makes me want to belly dance. in a kilt.
