Run Free

I used to be a runner. It satisfied my fight or flight instincts in a non-destructive way. It was therapy for me, bringing calmness not only because of the exercise but also because I was outside. And It was freeing to be able to run for hours. I lost that last year when I was training for a couple of long events. It became a chore after injuries slowed me down.

Seeing this runner thru my lens gave me a kind of tunnel vision as I followed him. It was almost as if the rest of the world stood still. He wasn't carrying the flag because he was part of a parade or anything. He was doing it because he wanted to. Which is why I used to run. I wanted to. Not because I had to. I need to get back to it. Who knows, it might help my creativity. :)
