Melancholy

2007.08.08
Loner

With the In Crowd.

The white background shots didn't come out the way I'd hoped. They felt mucky (a technical term).

Stats - D200 w/ 24mm lens. Both a 1/1600s @ F2.8

Tackylady1 You used a beautiful sepia tone. It is perfect for this photo.
Tackylady1 · 2007-08-08: 02:34
rolpa They worked very nicely even if they are not what you expected! Not at all 'mucky' to me.
rolpa · 2007-08-08: 04:34
photopoet They may be "murky" but they seem to set up a melancholy mood.

vollenda Thanks all :)

Yes, I always bracket. Sometimes as much as 2 stops.

I say mucky because the white background picked up the blue from my apartment building and the pink from the flowers. You can kind of see the different tones of the sepia in the background. The shots where it came out more even, the tulips were way over exposed and that isn't what I was looking for.

Cherax You do take an extremely nice photo.
The mucky might not been what you wanted, but I think it actually looks pretty damn good. You can always go back and do another without the mucky.
