Gourds, Girls, & Ghouls...Oh My - Autumn Theme

Oh, and corn. And Spike.

When I think about Autumn, it's not about cool temperatures and changing colors. Heck, I live in Southern California where most of the trees are palm trees or evergreens and they are green all year. I live in a place where I can ride my bike everyday and I don't even know what snow chains are.

So when I think of Autumn, It's not the weather that I think of, it's the holidays. Spending Thanksgiving with my family, the fun of our big Halloween day at work, and the big Halloween party at L&Rs.

But most of all, the fall means...VACATION! Woo! Next week, I'm going to be in Arizona with the munchkins...Morgan, Madison, and Max. It's become a tradition that I use a week of my vacation to visit during my niece's fall break. I get to spend lots of quality time with them and my sister doesn't have to worry about finding a babysitter. It works out for both of us. :)

How do we spend our days? Movies, picnics at the park, shopping, playing games, and doing crafty things. This year, we are going to have Max with us during the week too. All three of them. By myself. It can't be harder than corralling Spike, can it? Right?

The last two are Spike's new toy. It makes an evil laugh sound when you touch it. He was fascinated by it. What a miracle! More to come on Friday.
