Crossroad

2007.11.11

I purposely included the cross beam across the top when I took this photo but tonight I didn't like it so I cropped the top (and and right side a little to keep it a 4x6).

I Am The Highway - Audioslave (one of my favorites)

So, another Saturday night and I ain't got no body...wait, wrong song. ;)

Ok, another Saturday night and a little bored so I did some variations of this piece of a wooden cart.

1 - cropped slightly, darkened a little, increased contrast a little.

2 - same crop, converted to bw w/ cyan filter, slightly less darkening than #1, same contrast.

3 - same crop as #1, converted to bw w/ cyan fileter, same darkening and contrast as #1.

4 - Original.

tcalbaz Vollenda - these are quite interesting. I find the sepia to give the most interesting emphasis on shape, lines and design. The DOF also seems to be a little more pronounced yet subtle. More like a painting. Well done. Good subject.

chipotle i've been mulling on the choice between b&w and color. I shoot differently between the two. for this shot, though, i think i like #1 the most. i like the way that the effect burnishes the leather ties.

makaid I think I like the sepia one the most. However chipotle brings up a good point in the fact that the leather is brought out wonderfully in color. I like them all!

Genevieve I prefer the third photo.
