Dfx Roses

2008.01.10
Delight

Romance - You'll have to determine what the title means. ;)

Back to flowers...Same pink rose as earlier in the week. #1 is the original file with very light levels adjustments to deepen the black a little.

The triptych was created with 3 different versions of the rose with my latest toy...Dfx by Tiffen.

The software takes all of the Tiffens filters and allows you to apply the effects after. So you don't have to carry tons of filters around. It also has some printing processes you can apply to your photos. These are the effects I used:

1 - Applied a Halo light effect.
2 - Applied the Bleach Bypass lab effect.
3 - Converted to BW with the Hollywood special effect.

The background is a lightened, desaturated version of the flower from Tuesday.

I guess that is my philosophy with digital photography. I try not to do anything I couldn't do with my N90 and filters and printing processes. Of course, I never did any color printing, only b&w. But you could always tell a lab what you wanted!

P.S. #3 was added for rolpa and aries67.

kangshung Sensational macro Lisa and so sharp - and the light is just about perfect! Still dreaming about macro lenses, but spending too much on travel to buy one.
