Guess what I did on Saturday? I went to an air show at Cable Airport which is about 5 blocks from where I work. I took 500+ photos, about 400 keepers. I think. I'm still going thru them so here's a sneak peak...

The first two are the view from the airport and the view I see everyday to and from work. We had a cold storm last weekend and there's still some snow left on the mountain. Of course, it's in the 70's this weekend so who knows how long it will last.

My first time trying to take photos at an air show and I'm going to need more practice. And a longer lens. And a wider lens. But Cable Airport is small so my 70-300 VR did mostly fine. I really should have taken my 24mm with me and I could kick myself for not.

You did very nicely on those planes even without a longer lens, especially the second. The second mountain shot is superb - great detail and lovely tonality.

Wow - great view to have on your way to work - like #2 very much! And looking forward to more of the airshow - an 80+ percent keeper rate is astonishing - I'm happy if 20 percent are ok.

Very cool I think you did great!! #4 is way cool and makes me dizzy!! The Mountains look great!! Right now it is too dangerous for us to get to the high country Avalanche conditions are way to high right now due to excessive snowfall!! Awesome Plane post!!

The light on your mountains is divine! Reminds me of Ansel Adams. I love the perspective of your plane images. Lucky you to have two wonderful sights so close to work!
