Both are very beautiful Lisa, but #2 has a softness that makes it more appealing to me. Also, regret is a more healthy state than envy.

Interesting to hear what the language of flowers was in bygone times. But nowadays we can just enjoy them without reading too much significance into them. Nice dramatic shots.

yellow roses are also considered friendship roses :-) i like what you did to these though - they are so crisp and beautiful even in black and white.
