What are those crazy humans doing? (riders waiting for a break in the athletes going by so they can continue on their trail.)

Wonderful set. Twelve and fifteen are simply perfect. Congratulations and condolances to Kylie. It's definitely hard to be so happy and so sad at the same time. I remember the weekend my grandfather was at home dying, one of my closest friends called to say she was engaged. It's a surreal feeling to hold both of those emotions at once.

Beautiful sense of dynamism, joy and pain in these photos. Beautiful shots of the countryside also in #12 and #15. Quite a contrast to gentle horse riding!

If you ever give up your day job (if you've got one) you could always become a professional photo-journalist: this is superb photographic reportage (as we have often seen from you before). You've captured both the race itself and the beauty of the place. Great work Lisa!

Looks like an awesome tri! Mt Biking and trail running! I am doing my first sprint this summer, just a normal one, but this mountain stuff looks like more my style. Great set of shots, you really captured the action & emotion well. Wow, what an emotional roller coaster for Kylie. It's great that her grandfather could buy her the dress and be a part of the wedding that way, but terrible and sad that he knew he wasn't going to be there in person. Best wishes to her and her family.

i can't help but think that these races provide some great eye candy as well as resulting in great sets of photos... :-) what a cool place to shoot - great scenery! i LOVE #15!! awesome. such a great thing when people have such great hospitality too. a good feeling. what a cute family - they all look a little sun-toasted... i'm the opposite right now. i think i'm so pale i'm becoming translucent... hehe. :-)

These are beautiful shots, Lisa! My congratulations and condolences to Kylie.... Bittersweet is the perfect word for that combination of grief and happiness..... I love your shots. Being a complete non-athlete what I love are the flowers they are running/ riding through!

Havnt caught up with your photos in a few days)...#9 just cracked me up...poor kid..he really does look as though he has had more than enough. I Agree totally with Harry, these are sensational shots Lisa! You've captured the action, pain, concentration and excitement of the race, as well as the beauty and ambience of the surrounds. Great set Lisa.

Again: fantastic panning work! Especially in #1. Wonderful action shots all around, in wich you managed to greatly capture expressions of the runners as well and the natural beauty of that place. #9 made me laugh. Nicely caught.
