Aiwa!

2008.04.20

I went to the Renaissance Faire today.

It's funny how you recognize people you only see once a year. Maybe because I see them in my photographs throughout the year?

I've photographed this belly dancer before. I used slower shutter speeds (1/30 to 1/60s) to capture her swirling and swishing skirts.

By the way, aiwa means "yes" and is a term you use when you see a pretty belly dancer or one who dances beautifully.

bolder i think the passing of time also shows your growth as a photographer... the slower shutter speeds really show how she keeps her upper body stationary, and works the lower.

plus, your watermark design really makes the whole set look 'vary pro darling'!

rolpa Great colour and movement. (Interesting to see a bit of Tibetan in the background in some shots - om ah hung vajra guru padma siddhi hung - mantra of Padmasambhava the "precious teacher" of Tibetan Buddhism.)
