Sometimes, I'll wonder where my stripey rotter is and go looking for him. I'll look in his usual places and then call him. He usually does come when I call him. I think Sophie taught him that. ;)
But there are times when he doesn't show up and I don't hear a peep out of him. Eventually, I'll look up and see him in one of his favorite spots atop this cabinet. And he's always watching me. I think to see how long it will take me to find him! The stripey rotter.
Or maybe he just can't be bothered then.
Or maybe he thinks I'm nuts.
Or maybe all of the above. ;)
I wish I could read the little noodle brain's mind sometimes.

I so love Spike. I think #4 & #5 are my favorites of his stripeyness. Kittys just turn on the voice mail sometimes. They will listen to us later, if it is convenient!! I have frantically been searching for one of my cats outside as the sun was going down & as I could hear coyotes approaching, when suddenly he would appear stretching & yawning... sigh, what's the big deal? (OK now I KNOW you heard me!!)
