Part 2 of the Barrel Races features the littlest cowgirl. Notice she's not wearing a cowboy hat? You are actually required to dress like a cowgirl for the competition and if you lose your hat while you are racing, then you get a time penalty! But since she's learning and so young, she is allowed to wear the helmet instead. I think she still looks cute. And she was pretty darn good! She beat her mom's time! And she got closer to the barrels than a lot of the other riders. To see talent and passion in one so young is a very cool thing. To be able to help nurture that is even better. :)
Data - D200 w/ 70-300 VR lens, and at ISO 400. All were around F10-F13 and 1/350s thru 1/640s.
