These photos of Madison and the ones on Friday of Max were taken on the stairs in my sister's house. They are kind of in the middle, almost the heart of the house. And you'll often find a kid or two on them at the start or end of the day. It's the inbetween place for them. When they aren't quite ready to start the day or to let it end.
Anyway the days were a little overcast so there wasn't much light. I'd planned on that and took my SB800 with me. I bounced it off the ceiling so it wouldn't be harsh and the shadows would fall away. But the ceiling above the stairs is really high. I don't think it did too bad though.
Oh, and all the kids were looking their spiffy best because the "stair" series was taken right before we left for the "official" christmas portrait at JCPenny. Where Morgan watched the photographer like a hawk! :)
