This weekend was the 9th Annual San Dimas Stage Races.
As some of you may know, I love bikes (I have four - two road bikes, a hybrid, and a mtb). And there's nothing I love more than the sound of wheels in a paceline. So needless to say, I love races. :) I've only raced my bike in triathlons though.
This is the first time I was able to make it to the road race portion. And what a blast of color and sounds and speeds it was. The course was a loop that each category raced many times. These photos are of the Cat3s, Cat2s, and Pros at the King of the Mountain line and then the descent after. It made for some great opportunities as they raced to the line and then raced down the hill.
As an added bonus, I knew someone racing! I've never met him but I've read his blog. If you ever get a chance to attend a bike race, I highly recommend it.
P.S. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers for my great uncle. He is at home now with Hospice care since he does not want any more chemo or other measures. If you could say another prayer for him, I would appreciate it.
