I've seen prettier bikes, but maybe none more expensive.

It's a really sharp Cinelli. Also, notice all those price tags. And those aren't the top range bikes. The prices are crazy high.

This is a cheat posting, because none of these pitcures were taken today. Actually these are all from the Australia trip last week. (check it out, great photos) This is simply a complilation of the bikes I snapped on the trip.
GT, and Scott seem to be big brands down there. Some Bianchi, and Colnago's scattered about. I saw more Soma's that I expected. They seem to have a nice bit of the fixie/track market. I didn't see enough couriers to get a firm concept of the local esthetic.
Overall, bikes are expensive down under. I crafty traveler could take a few frames down with him and make a buck or three. And yes, that Colnago has a five figure price tag.
I tried to pick up two rolls of that chrome bar tape. Apparently it came spec with a few highend bikes. Nobody had it as a seperate component. There might be a source up here. I'll keep snooping. It's a little too Gucci for me, but I have a friend that just might go for it. It's a Christmas idea.
