trip to the greenhouse

This morning I made a trip to the local nursery. (I have a bonsai that is not happy.) Luckily I was packing a camera. The greenhouse turned out to be a mini photo safari. I highly recommend visiting your local greenhouse at this time of year. It was virtually deserted. There I was with all these plants and no people. I only took about a dozen shots, but after getting home and looking at these I almost wish I had spent more time.

Feel free to click-enlarge these shots. Especially the first three. There is some fascinating detail in the petal surfaces. IMO.

ps. I know the bottom one is a orchid, but beyond that I have know idea what the top fellas are.
