Didn't someone named Chichester sail around the world? I seem to remember... I'm impressed they can get such a long name printed on such a small space!
You're thinking of Sir Francis Chichester - well remembered! The name actually runs right the way through the rock - it's pressed into the layers of sugar!

We don't have Juncos here. I notice you are using telephoto. I do that too when I photograph birds. I find my lens has trouble focusing autumatically at a distance so I have started manually focusing mine. It works much better for me (after I practiced a bit).
Yes, if it isn't that bright outside, the telephotos will have a hard time focusing automatically. You can also stop down the speed, raise the ISO or open up the appeture. Of course, you probably know all that. Thanks for visiting
