Day 3 - Colorado/New Mexico

2008.07.18
The view from Mykel's apartment...nice!

Packing up

Mykel and Michael!

Goodbye Mykel's place

Good morning Graham, how are you?

mmmmm, french toast sandwich and the Western Omelet.

Colorado Springs was sooooo pretty, but we had to hop back on the ol' 25 S.

Near desert in southern Colorado

MMOOOOOO!

I wish there were mountains in Illinois.

Laura coxing the laboring car up the hill - "Come on car, come on!"

The red, white, and BLUE.

Mountains!

Welcome to New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment? Where do they come up with these tag lines?

Here's the enchanting Hillcrest Restaurant we ate lunch at.

What a funny looking candy machine, hmmm.

Red rock

It was raining and sunny as we entered Albuquerque.

So after we got in, Laura wasn't feel well. She took a nap and I went exploring. I stumbled into Old Town and found the The Albuquerque Museum of Art and History. People were gathering into the fantastic amphitheater attached to the museum. They were gearing up for a Cumbia-style concert.

Albuquerque, the land of hardened settlers and rockets!
