Roses are red, the sky is not blue

2008.07.26

The sky is always grey. Chinese Authorities are trying to limit the pollution in Beijing. For the moment most of the factories around Beijing are closed and only half of the cars can circulate (even plate number - even days ...)

But the problem is still there. There is a sort of fog all day long. At the beginning I thought it was my camera that was not working properly. And no, it is this persistent cloud of pollution that covers the city and you will notice on the pictures, they look even blurry.

And today two questions of the quiz (the two with the same answer):
8 - Who received a call from a friend Friday night at 1 am saying that tickets sales for the Olympics would continue all night long and that there were not a lot of people queuing?
Who took a taxi, went to the Stadium at 2 am and got some tickets for athletics competition in the bird's nest?
a - Margaret Thatcher
b - Me

????? hola Wal!
Today, the answer to your question it´s very easy: "You"... I mean... "me", well... you know what I mean :) By the way... who is Margaret Thatcher? I remember someone who was spending her salary in "hair´s spray" :)
That´s all by now, Walter! I say bye to you while I am listening some songs of Amy Winehouse (she makes a CD in a couple of minutes while she was not smoking "crack" or drinking cheap wine (obviously, speaking about her surname). When she finished... someone took her to go to the hospitar :)
Don´t forget to be calm and... drink a lot of Tsing Tao, water must be... polluted too!!! Ahhh, in Spain we have high temperatures too so most of people are in the beaches. I meet someone who told me he could see the water very far away... the sea was made only with umbrellas and redish "guiris" :)
Un saludico,
Miguel Angel

Walter

Angel Barreiros "...The sky is always gray..."

Which comes as a surprise living normally in sunny-blue-sky Brussels
(Ay! que pronto se olvidan las cosas...)

Regarding the question the obvious answer is Margaret Thatcher... Since we all know you are too busy investigating Chinese women on popular request (just for scientific purposes), the most probable place you were at 1am is in a bar drinking inviting a nice lady to a Tsing Tao bier. With the loud music of those places and the effort to understand what she was saying (yes, you were listening...), the chances you heard the phone are zero...
