His staple diet of Langos soon led to advanced arteriosclerosis. Towards the end of his life he was kept alive by intravenous transfusions of liquid hydrogen which was the only substance that could pass through the clogged veins. Unfortunately he became to an unsuitable degree brittle. When his nurses one day dropped him while making his bed he shattered into an impractical number of bits and was subsequently left at a recycling station.
