I dug out my old Olympus Zuiko 50 1,8 and tried it out on my DSLR with an adaptor. I figured it would be perfect for portraits but found it impossible to focus with the precision necessary for 1,8 but I rather liked the portrait anyway.

I think they work rather well, all things considered. Haven't tried the things you raised in the forum, but I find using the live view function helps with my manual lenses. If your camera doesn't have live view, try an angle viewer, although it's slow and finicky. revenant · 2010-09-16: 18:43
