Today I tried again, this time with an old 35 2.8. For some reason I though it might be easier with a greater depth of field but the sweet spot still ends up somewhere around the kids ears rather than in their eyes where it should be. I guess I need glasses or something.

i'm shooting with manual lens lately, it's was a little frustrating at the beginning(strangely i have more focus problem with the 55mm lens then with the 135mm) . you have to get used with "seeing"(i believe the small viewfinder is to blame) uhmm...i already have glasses so there's nothing i can do. but these lenses are amazing and i know this, i used dedicated, expensive limited lens and i can make the difference. keep trying and have patience.(and try shoot outdoors in the light to get used to it) pollak · 2010-09-17: 17:18
