I've no idea what this little creature was doing curled up in such an exposed position, in the biting cold with a sharp wind as well (as can be seen by the hairs on it's tail) but it seemed to be enjoying the weak rays of sun coming through the canopy of the trees.
|
Despite it's diminutive size I think it's a "Great Tit". I don't understand how so many birds can find enough grubs in the tree trunks to survive all winter but I guess there is some kind of equilibrium.
