I was a bit disappointed at my first attempts at bird photography but emboldened by Ruth's great bird pics taken at around 1600 ISO I jacked up the sensitivity on my old Canon to 1600 to see if it would help in cutting down on motion blur, which I think it did at the expense of quite a lot of noise but there is no free lunch and Lightroom does a fair job of cleaning things up.
