BURMESE BULLOCK CART
2008.07.22
Normally, the cart is pulled by two bullocks or oxen. The cart (or a jinker) is attached to a bullock team by a special chain attached to yokes, but a rope may also be used for one or two animals. The driver and any other passengers sit on the front of the cart, while load is placed in the back. Traditionally the cargo was usually agrarian goods and lumber.

In some area, this type of carts are still used today where modern cars are too expensive or the infrastructure does not favor them.

People:
This is Burmese Bullock Cart. I used to have similar posts in the past. 2008 April 13, it was THE TRANSPORTER. And Burmese Tri-Shaw of 2008 May 25. You could say this is the continuation of these posts. This time is Burmese Bullock Cart. Unfortunately, these are not nature shots. These are merely dummy items standing at the SEINN LANN SO PYAY GARDEN of Yangon. People put some flowers on it and displayed. Just to share you the design and structure of Burmese bullock cart.
