The Palm Villa (TAVOY)

2008.04.07
That is the Landmark of the entrance to TAVOY. Can you see small little huts on the right side of the road? These are Liquor House that sells freshly harvested Palm Wine (Htann Yay).

Dont try to count the numbers of the trees. Because there are hundreds of thousands of it. An Italian doctor who works for NGO said this is a PERFECT place for him to create nice pictures.

They call it HOME. People residing in those outskirt areas of my town earn their livings on farming. They normally use BAMBOO to build up their shelters. No wonder, when the storm comes, they have nothing left.

A house of farmers. It's situated at the base of PADDY HILL (Sabar Taung). I took my motorcycle and warred under sunlight to get this shot. Finally, I feel like it's worth.

Do you know what is that? CASHEW NUTS. TAVOY is a place where you can find vast of agricultural products like Rubber, Palm Oil, Betel Nuts, Cashew Nuts and the likes. That is the traditional DRYING process of cashew nuts. The natural way....

When you travel around the town, you will see this kind of things along the road. Cashew Nuts, Betel Nuts, our people dry up like this. We dont use so-called hi tech thingy. Our people prefer manual and natural ways. That is the reason it keeps my town UNTOUCHED.

People, this is my second post for TAVOY trip. The place is called Palm Villa (Htann Pin Tann). If you come from Yangon, this villa en-marks the entrance of my town. It's on the north-east part of TAVOY. A true place for photographer. Thousands of palm trees are planted along the road. So, yea? Taste a bite of Palm Villa post.
