CLAY POTS

2008.05.15
These handmade clay pots are RESERVOIRS for people in PHYAR PONE. The usage of these things seriously reflects the LIFESTYLES of people in those areas.

People:

These are CLAY POTS, pure handmade ones. I got this shot during my visit to PHYAR PONE of IRRAWADDY division. People from PHYAR PONE keep rain water in these pots to use as drinking water for year round. Water from traditional wells in their town cannot drink due to high level contamination of SALT. Nowadays, you cannot find this kind of CLAY POTS in PHYAR PONE anymore. NARGIS cyclone wiped away all.

This set is in dedications to the memories of PHYAR PONE trip.
