I didn't take a business trip this week after all thanks to fervent procrastination and faulty planning. So I've been stuck in my office... the pictures are of my favorite little corner. I'll lean up against that wall and stare out at the pedestrians and the beautiful buildings that make up the Central West End (or at least parts that I can see). The flags represent every country in which an Optimist Club is established and a constant nudge that I should be out traveling more but am too lazy to do so.
The Optimist Creed starts off with: "Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind."
...that's a tough thing to promise myself.

I agree with that philosophy. So, I guess that makes me an optimist, doesn´t it?
What a lovely wistful shot! I guess part of being an optimist is accepting when you can't do things and absorbing every last bit of an experience when you can.
