So we got another cat... for like 36 hours. Cat (our cat) had been making some really scary sounds and wandering all over the house at night, and I thought it might be because she was lonely or something. So I found someone online that was giving away kittens, made the 45 minute drive to pick one up, and brought it home only to be HATED by Cat. I have NEVER seen Cat so angry! And this poor little kitten, well... puffing up like this is all she could do to defend herself. I promptly found her a new home (a very nice family in Collinsville), and she was gone.

I understand that it takes time for a cat to get used to having another cat in the house (I read plenty of online articles after the "meeting" didn't go so well), but I can't even describe how upset/angry/scary/stressed Cat was. Ben and I decided we just didn't want to put her through that! Especially since the articles said it would take weeks, even months, for the cats to get along.

I got a text from the mom just a few hours after I dropped the kitty off saying that the whole family was in love with her already. I wish you well, puffy kitten! :)
