High Country Snows

There’s a place in the Rockies, a place that I know
Where the world cannot find me and the time goes so slow
In the piney wood forest, there’s a flower that grows
Through the long months of winter and the high country snows

To a house by a meadow ‘neath the towering peaks
Is a place where my heart goes when it’s love that it seeks
There a woman lies waiting like the wild growing rose

In the space of a lifetime a man misses much
'Til he finds him a woman and treasures her touch
When the lakes all lie frozen and the wild wind blows
I’ll return to my darlin’ and the high country snows

This is the valley in which I live. This spot is about 1 mile from my house and it is a great place to just go and reflect.

Thanks. Its weird i just got on photoblog for the first time ever 20 mins. ago and already ive gotten comments. Im merely testing out photoblog because i've been looking for a place to share my photographic work but my main blog is here. Up until three years ago some of family lived in Colorado. I'd go out several times a year to visit and come home feeling replenished. This is a stunning vista.
