This is what remains of the old sandstone school house that once stood in Thistle Utah. In 1983, Utah had a very large snow pack, with a warm spring the snow melt was rapid. There was a major landslide that until at least 2005 was the most expensive in US history. (over 200 Million) It severed the railroad service between Denver and Salt lake and flooded two major highways, US 6. and US 89.
