Seeking for snowscape, I went to Toyo-oka City. Unfortunately, not so much snow lay on the ground as I had expected. At the feeding time, white storks (Ciconia ciconia) that had been released from raising cage gathered one after another.
In close-up, you should notice white storks are so big, which have a wingspan of two meters.

A hundred years ago, white storks were common at rice fields. Now, no wild stork breeds in Japan, and it is very rare to see them. However, a hundred of white storks are caged and bred in Toyo-oka. Several of them were released to be back to nature. by yumisakurai
