Roadtrip: San Francisco

2008.07.16
Our first food stop: R and G Lounge. The salt and pepper crab dish was awesome. The crab was deep-fried to perfection - it was so crunchy, but yet maintained the freshness and sweetness of the crab :D The other dishes - noodles, bbq pork and vegetables - were pretty normal, but the restaurant is worth visiting just for the salt and pepper crab. Good recommendation by Ruoying :)

@ Fisherman's Wharf. Hah, I seem to take quite a lot of birds photos for someone who is terribly afraid of them.

Alcatraz from a distance.

A photo taken by Peishan.

I was so happy to find my cheap raw oysters at Fisherman's Wharf. Strangly enough, only one store was selling oysters. Maybe we came a bit too late and the other stores had finished selling their oysters, or this is just not the right season for oysters. Perhaps that's why the oysters were not terribly impressive. But at 4 for $5, I really shouldn't be complaining :D

I really like this chess set :D Mushrooms, cats and rabbits. Em.. I am guessing that it could be the Alice in the Wonderland set?...

We went hiking the next day at Muir Woods. The wonderful bay area weather was just perfect for outdoor activities. I absolutely enjoyed the hike and wished we had more time to do more trails.
