The bread basket and pickled vegetables. I was a bit disappointed that the bread did not taste very fresh. It was not even warm!

The first course: cherry tomatoes, arugula, egg and olive toasts. A very simple dish that tasted surprisingly good. I suppose it really helps to have fresh ingredients (hah, and good cooking skills).

Risotto with Zucchini. The risotto was well cooked - you can taste the individual grains, yet at the same time it was nice and moist. The zucchini was really sweet and refreshing, a good match with the cheese based sause.

My favorite dish of the night. Grilled duck breast with onion rings, corn souffle and porcini mushrooms. The duck was a bit too salty on its own, but it was just perfect with the sides, especially the sweet and creamy corn souffle. I feel so hungry just looking at the photo.

Peishan's favorite dish of night - nectarine puff pastry and berry ice-cream. A great summer dessert. The moscato d'asti we ordered went very superbly with the dessert :)

The petit fours - dark chocolate and nuts nougats with gold foil (!) and almond cookies (can't remember the fancy name for the cookies). I really like the cookies, but thought wasn't too impressed with the gold-foiled nougats. A bit too pretentious I guess. :D
Overall, it was a good meal (and thanks to Peishan for getting a bottle of wine for the dinner :D), but not terribly memorable. Perhaps I was just hoping for much more because it's Alice Waters, and the experience was just not spectacular enough to meet my expectations.
