Thiers

Thiers is an oldn and curious town of the middle of France lost in the small mountains of the east side of Auvergne..
Walking in the sinuous streets of the old town, we learned that there used to be an flourished industry of cuttle manufacturing but it lost its glory some times ago..
Now the medieval part of the city seems quite empty, and plants are growing up in the abandonned factories down in the valley. This valley is called the "hole of hell" (le creu de l'Enfer)
As a result, athmosphere was quite impressive... Being just back from rich and touristic South France, it felt like being in another country...
