Ladybird beetles

2008.11.15

A customer imported about 18,000 ladybird beetles for use as biological control against the mealybugs and aphids in his garden and he was so kind to give us some for reference. The beetles came in a cloth bag and when he opened the bag, the little insects crawled out anxiously! They were so active that I could not open the cover of the petri dish which they were kept in to have a closer picture of them. I still prefer the classic red with black dots ones!
