A few more Bear images from Tweedsmuir Park in Canada. I have a zillion photos from that trip, so I have been trying to sort through them, picking out some interesting ones, without boring you viewers with Bears :)...
Momma Bear and her cub play-fighting in the middle of the river. This has always been a meaningful photo for me. Seeing these huge beauties frolicking playfully and knowing that they could destroy any of us if they wanted to gives a little insight into their true nature. I felt a bit like I was intruding, but it was very cool to watch.
This little fellow kept an eye on us as we traipsed through his area looking for Bears.
This Bear was busy eating a Salmon on the bank of the river, notice the blood on her snout...also notice the pouty lower lip ? this is a "warning" expression, probably at a nearby bear.
Fireweed...we saw a lot of this wildflower especially in areas that were recovering from forest fires...I guess that explains their name !
