A Quiet Day

The girls went shopping, so I thought I'd share some pictures of Maison Juliette – four rooms first floor and four bedrooms upstairs. April 5th shows the entrance and front hall.

It was back to the castle for two more medieval “queens” and two small paintings from an artist we admired at the restaurant a few days ago.

We had a casual dinner on the way home and Sydney took our picture (along with the all important bottle of wine!)

On the way to the bakery - couldn't resist these beautiful wisteria!

Kithchen - stove (electric and gas) is in the green alcove

Dining room across the hall from the kitchen

Living room with a utility room between living room and kitchen.

The study across the hall from the living room

Stair way to second floor, oval window in bathroom at landing.

Upstairs central hall way with two bedrooms in front and two in the back (behind the camera). Needless to say, I'm not including any pictures of our messy bedrooms!

The back garden as seen from our bedroom window

The garden is lovely – very quiet and verdant.

I wonder what's inside the garden “shed?”

Maison Juliette is a beautiful, quiet, and comfortable home.

Late afternoon we walked back to the castle for one last shopping expedition.

Last night we had dinner at Restaurant de Saint Jean and really like the paintings in the restaurant. The artist, Zanda, has a gallery in the castle and we bought two small paintings.

The tower of six dragons – one baby coming out of the egg

Sydney took this picture of our casual dinner (notice the pizza!)
