Click on the pictures for higher resolutionI love Friday evenings! A break from the mundane routine of work and babies sitting, to pursue my interest in photography. This week, together with my experienced photographer friend, we head off to Little India again to look for photo opportunities. #1 Green WindowsThere is something about the windows in Little India. I like the old rustic colourful design of these windows. Here the light and the shadows enhanced the design of the windows.
#2 Veges veges veges!Marketplaces in Little India maintain it's rustic charm, where vegetables are laid in their mountain high piles for marketeers to pick and choose. I like the display of red, green and yellow with the gorgeous shine of light here.
#3 Shining TomatoesWith the nice light shining on these tomatoes, they never look so good before!
#4 Ray of light shining thruI'm always on the lookout for dramatic light. Made this picture when I saw this ray of light shining thru the dark shadows of the vegetables stall.
#5 Bananas and LightThe lighted bananas caught my attention, but upon spotting this light bulb in my viewfinder gave me this composition idea.
#6 Shadowy MarketI wanted to take the whole market scene in but don't want just a boring record shot. Then I decided to turn my camera in the other direction and shoot towards the sun. Like the long shadows and silhouettes in this picture.
#7 Colours in reflectionThank God for the rain earlier, there are puddles of water lying around for photographers like us to look for nice reflections.
#8 Pigeon on tilesNoticed a brood of pigeons roosting on the roof tiles. Decided to placed this pigeon against the nice yellow bg and the patterns tiles below for better composition.
#9 Red framing the reflectionI wanted to use the red frame of this door to frame some nice reflections. By squatting down, I managed to find the reflection of the opposite pointed towers.
#10 Singapore,my homeSingapore is preparing to celebrate our national day, 9 Aug. Here we can see the preparation in process.
#11 Red WindowsDid I mentioned that I like that I like to take pictures of nice windows? Here is a set of 3 red windows set against the white wall, liken to the colours of the Singapore flag. Noticed the growing creepies near the windows?
#12 What r u looking at?Wanted to take this scene of people relaxing the Friday evening away, think the guy in red did not really like my camera pointing at him :-(
