Wishing I Could be on a Permanent Vacation

After the excitement of yesterday we decided to take it easy today by laying out by the pool again ☺ as much as I love the beach I have really enjoyed these past few days of swimming in chlorine and not getting covered with sand. We also swung through the markets again so a few of the girls could pick up more souvenirs. I forgot to mention this before but it is really funny walking past all the different stalls because some sell shoes, purses, or clothing while others have Balinese rugs and pillows, and then you come to a stall that has bejewelled penis statues. I kid you not they have ones on display that are a good 3-4 foot tall and come in allllllll different colors, ha definitely bringing a few of those bad boys home as gifts. Later we enjoyed lunch at a local Indonesian Café and then made our way to a spa. I spent that afternoon getting an hour long, full body massage for 95,000 Rupiahs aka about $10.30 in U.S. I will most definitely miss the prices of everything in Bali.

That night we went out to dinner in Seminyak again but this time to an Italian restaurant, the food was wooooonndderrfuuull and I really enjoyed one last nice meal with all the girls. Afterwards we had to walk back through a section of the market and I find it so interesting how it transitions from day to night… stalls that had earlier been selling bracelets and hand bags were now advertising their “Magic Mushrooms.” Unfortunately we saw, on several occasions, little (I’m talking 2-4 year olds) trying to sell us stuff while their parents sat on the curb smoking—it’s a whole other world here.

I am really excited for tomorrow because we are going white water rafting!!! ☺☺
