One of the most famous parks in Taiwan, the 228 peace memorial park is located right in the middle of Taipei. It is a very beautiful park, with lots to see. I found it my first morning in Taipei, and continued to walk through it everyday for the rest of my time there (my hostel was only a block away). To see more of my trip click here: Jiufen Taipei
The 228 memorial is located right in the middle of the park. It is a very unique structure and invites its visitors to walk up underneath it to dicover the little pool under it.
This park is also used by many different groups of people. A lot of men and women would get together and practice tai chi in the shade of the large trees.
Quick story about this last picture. When I got to the park on my first morning there were a lot of photographers and reporters waiting outside of the museum. I eventually found out that they were waiting for this lady (I have no idea who she is). They then followed her around the park, having a photoshoot.
