Spring 2019 - An Update on Life

A friend of mine took this lovely picture for me and I love it.

A lot has been happening in my life lately which has made me put my photography and editing on hold. To start this winter has been ROUGH.

Around February my seasonal depression hit. I was depressed for weeks, not really wanting to do anything. I let a bunch of stuff go, and my apartment became a disaster.

By the end of March I was able to start to pull myself out of it. If any of you remember from last year, my birthday is in the beginning of April (I'm now a quarter of a century old!). This always gives me something to look forward to. I never really have a big party, but I always plan a trip for me to go and enjoy the cherry blossoms that are in bloom.

This year I went down south to a festival in Yeongam. I had a great time, even when it down-poured on me. Then the next weekend I went to Incheon to visit my friend and enjoy even more cherry blossoms! This was my last harrah for a while, because guess what!......

YOUR GIRL IS BACK IN SCHOOL!

That's right I am officially working on my master's in teaching English as a second language. I joined a cohort in Seoul and take classes for 2 weekends straight every two months. It can be intense at times, but I'm really excited about what it could mean for my future. Aside from one last paper, I've completed my first course. I couldn't have asked for a better professor to start this new chaper of my life with. She was kind and able to explain different methods so well.

She had us up and moving around to help demonstrate differnt ways to teach subjects.

I've been so busy with work, school, and putting my apartment back together that I've had little time for anything else.

I still have photos to go through, so hang tight for a bunch of posts. My goal is to work on them in-between asignments. I get a week or two between classes. Hopefully I can get them all finished before my next big vacation :)

So stay tuned, there will be more soon!

Congrats on your master's program and best of luck! It's a lot to balance but sounds like a rewarding program. smile

Thank you! I hate having to take breaks from my photos, but sometimes life just gets in the way
