Orion (and the Moon)

by Affectionate December. 15, 2008 2146 views

Orion (often referred to as The Hunter) is a prominent constellation, one of the largest, most conspicuous and recognizable in the sky. Its name refers to Orion, a hunter in Greek mythology.

Orion's brilliant stars are found on the celestial equator and are visible throughout the world. From mid-northern latitudes, Orion is visible in the evening from October to early January and in the morning from late July to November.
