occam's razor is the more complicated explanation for a principle long before being described as the dilemma of the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordian_Knot]Gordian Knot[/url] - you either hang in there addressing the uncertainty and complexity, or you act and cut through the damn knot, thus dissolving the problem.
