Ameyoko Market Tokyo

One of my most interesting open air market which offers a wide variety of goods from fashion, bags, fresh seafood, street foods, cosmetics, medicines, souvenirs and anything under the sun. It's fun, it's bustling and it's truly a local Japanese experience of it's kind. Enjoy !

The street was the site of a black market in the years following World War Two.

This is an example of enjoyable street food. This fried balls with squid is popular here.

There are also tax-free store that offers about 10,000 different kinds of sweets, such as candy, bean paste, rice confectionery, delicacies, chocolate, and import goods. Don't miss out on Ameyoko markets in Tokyo. Opening hours and closing days depend on individual stores, but stores typically open around 10:00 and close around 20:00. Many stores remain closed on selected Wednesdays. Ameyoko market can be accessed in a short walk from Ueno-Okachimachi Station along the Oedo Subway Line.

Enjoy !
